What the cuss?

Britney learns to draw a fox.
And also tries to calibrate her tablet.
                          A thrilling two part series.

BUT FIRST-
I hiked Albion Basin today and it was a delight!  Check out this incredible picture my boyfriend took and then quickly edited:

As I am working on my moderately detailed fox on Illustrator, which looks nothing like step-by-step tutorial I'm supposed to be following, I notice that my pen is so far off from proper calibration to the point that it is mildly inconvenient.  When I unboxed my Wacom tablet last week, an installation disc was included; alas, my new iMac doesn't have a disc drive (???) because I guess in 2017 compact discs are obsolete??  And yet, here I am, in 2017...needing a disc drive.  With innate sensibility I turn to google to see if I can download the software elsewhere.  NAH.  The Wacom website is garbage.  I've tried downloading the correct driver multiple times with no results.  This entire process has been pretty frustrating, and what is the point of having a tablet if this is how it's going to be?  Because I have no disc drive on my iMac, I've tried remotely using my MacBook Pro to install using the disc, and it fails every time.  What am I supposed to do here?  Obviously my drawing capabilities would be exponentially heightened with a calibrated tablet (jk jk I can barely draw BUT STILL).

So here, have a fox.  But not any ordinary fox.  A fox that has the bushiest eyebrow in existence ever.  It's fine.

Someday I'll figure out how to 1) create the correct size, 2) color??  3) CALIBRATE MY TABLET

Alright, alright.
So long and thanks for all the fish!
